There are many attractions through out the year . The summer brings the Agricultural shows  -with keen competition between the farmers . The Royal Welsh show in Builth  in July is the highlight of the year.

The Eisteddfod are held through out the year in the local villages. But the main National events are held in the summer in May-August With the Urdd National Eisteddfod usually at the end of May- which is held by the national youth movement; and is the largest gathering of youth in Europe each year.
